JOB TITLE/LOCATION:

Corporate Payroll Manager– Oxford, CT

Description:

The Corporate Payroll Manager will manage all aspects of RBC Bearings payroll, across multiple divisions which are processed weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly. They will be the point of contact for payroll activities and will ensure consistency across the organization in pay practices and pay compliance. The Payroll Manager will manage the HRIS vendor relationship (UKG) and manage 6 Payroll Specialist who process payroll for approximately 3500 employees.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Complete yearly R&D file for Tax-provide W-2 wages.
  • Prepare files for annual 401K Audit with Vanguard.
  • Prepare files for annual Workman’s Compensation Audit
  • Update any changes in Principal website.
  • Update State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) Rates in UKG.
  • Prepare Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan (SERP) & NonQualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC) monthly deferral files and yearly file with %'s for salary deferral and bonus to payroll.
  • Develop Annual files for Union Vacation Calculation and then review them for accuracy, for applicable union locations.
  • Develop quarterly Cash Forecasts to Corporate for retirement plans.
  • Develop and submit quarterly worksite reports to the US Dept of Labor for RBCA State of CA.
  • Run audit reports in UKG.
  • Run Company Master Profile and tax Verification reports quarterly.
  • Run quarterly QVR's from UKG and then review them for accuracy.
  • Review and approve Union Payroll and other RBC Divisional Payroll.
  • Review and update any Federal or State notices received and submit them to UKG.
  • Review and approve all yearly W-2's.
  • Review and approve the WT Union Medical reimbursements.
  • Manage issues or adjustments in UKG.
  • Assist Corporate Accounting with items for bank reconciliation.
  • Create and manage info for FMLA and SOX Audit.
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of the job

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting, CPA preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 15 years of processing payroll within a time and attendance software.
  • Must have knowledge of Kronos and UKG
  • AS400 experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
